A 1:35 set of figures of American tankers in winter equipment, the Ardennes series, by PANZER ART is a resin multi-figure set for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A multi-figure resin set from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART in 1:35. The marking Ardennes is the name of the series and states the winter character of the clothing. The set is meant for dioramas and vignettes with snowy or late autumn scenery, and it will complete a vehicle kit with a crew.
Execution and material
Resin holds the bulk of layered winter clothing, the collars, the gloves and the small items of equipment. The figures are supplied on casting blocks, which are cut off, and with mold seam lines to be cleaned up. The figures are built as a group, so they can be laid out into one connected scene at a vehicle.
Building and painting tips
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level the faces and sand the resin wet with protection for your breathing. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Lay the figures out dry first and check that their gazes and the turns of their bodies create a continuous composition; only then glue them for good. With a winter scene, keep the whole group in a lighter and cooler position of the shades and carry the shadows into gray. You can tell the jackets apart with fine shifts of the same base, so that the figures do not look like production copies. Dust the lower edge of the trousers and the footwear with a pigment. A final matte clear coat over the whole group evens the surface out.
Who the set is for
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
