A set of cast road wheels for the Staghound armored car in 1:35 scale, in the version with Dunlop tires. The Staghound stands on massive wheels that make up a considerable part of its silhouette, so their shape and tread pattern markedly affect the overall impression of a model.
The Staghound was a four-wheeled armored car built in North America for British and Allied units. It was large, heavy and well armed, so it came closer to a light tank on wheels than to a classic reconnaissance car. It was used in Italy, in northwest Europe and after the war in a number of armies.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw so that the cut falls in the contact area of the tire. Bond with super glue and check that all the wheels stand in the same plane. Paint the tires a dark gray, leave the crown lighter and apply a dark wash into the tread. Dirty the sidewalls according to the terrain of the scene.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
