The North American F-86 Sabre is an American single-engine subsonic fighter with a swept wing, which became the symbol of the first generation of jet fighter aircraft. The F version is among the most widespread and was deployed in combat and with a number of other operators as well; a characteristic mark of the later machines is a modified wing leading edge, which improved behavior at high angles of attack. The aircraft was powered by a jet engine with a centrifugal compressor, and air flowed to it through a nose intake in the front.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of the mold release agent, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and true the mating surfaces up with a file or on sanding paper. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Before painting, apply a primer, which will even the resin out with the plastic of the kit. On this type a glossy metal surface is often built up, and that calls for a perfectly smooth base, so give the sanding and polishing time.
The set is an accessory, not a kit of the whole aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
