A set of masks of kabuki tape in 1:48 scale for a model of the Mi-35M helicopter, in the basic BASIC configuration.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-35M is an attack helicopter on which the glazing of the cabin makes up a prominent part of the forward section. It is precisely the glass that causes the most trouble during painting, because the frames are narrow and covering them by hand with tape takes hours. Shaped masks shorten this work and the edge of the paint comes out sharp.
This is a set of masks of kabuki type masking tape in 1:48 scale. The BASIC qualifier sets this set apart from the ADVANCED and EXPERT variants that the range offers for helicopter subjects; what exactly each of them covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set is cut to the shapes of a particular kit, so before buying check in the instructions which model it belongs to.
Stick the masks onto clean and degreased glazing before spraying, not after it. Seat each piece with tweezers and press it down around the whole circumference, mainly in the corners, so that the paint does not run under the edge. Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy application creates a ridge at the edge of the mask, which peels away once the mask is removed. Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried, and rather at an angle than straight upward, so that the paint beneath them does not lift either.
The set suits anyone who builds a helicopter in 1:48 scale and does not want to lose time cutting tape by hand. The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
