Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut masks of kabuki tape for a model of the Junkers Ju 88A-8 in 1:48 scale. The masks are stuck onto the clear parts and taken off after spraying; the edges of the frames then come out sharp and straight. The BASIC level is the basic one of the New Ware BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT range. The package contains no model, paints or glue.
The real subject
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German twin-engine aircraft of the Second World War, used in the bomber, reconnaissance and night fighter roles. The A-8 version, designated Paravane, carried on the nose and on the leading edges of the wing a frame with cable cutters, which was to protect the machine while flying in a belt of barrage balloons. The forward part of the fuselage was made up almost entirely of a glazed cabin with a great number of frames, so masking is among the most laborious steps on the model. The set is therefore usable on a model of this type in 1:48 scale.
How to use the masks
Degrease the clear part and let it dry. Transfer the mask with tweezers, seat it and press the edges down with a rounded tool. Spray the shade of the inner frames first, then the outer camouflage. Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried. On the heavily curved glazing of the nose press the mask down from the center toward the edges, so that no crease forms under which the paint could run.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
