The second generation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse was introduced for the 1995 model year and brought the rounded shapes typical of the mid-1990s. The car was sold with several engines, from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder up to a turbocharged version with all-wheel drive, which made it a serious rival in the category of affordable sports coupes. It was precisely the turbocharged variant that won a cult standing among followers of tuning and film pop culture, and it remains one of the most sought-after Japanese cars of its day.
Nip the parts off the sprue with nippers and sand away the gate remnants so that no stub is left. Glue with liquid cement for plastic drawn by capillary action along the edge of the joint. Wash the body in warm water with a little detergent before painting, to remove the mold release agent. The best result comes from a primer, then several thin coats of paint from an airbrush and finally clear gloss varnish. If you want a perfect gloss, polish the varnish with a cutting compound once it is dry. Keep the interior matte, on the other hand, as the plastics of a dashboard do not shine.
