This is a clip-together brick kit from the Polish maker COBI. The hull, the turrets and the running gear are assembled from shaped bricks and additional parts that are joined by clicking them together; the details are handled by printing on selected parts. The model is therefore finished the moment you complete the last step of the instructions.
The A1E1 Independent was an experimental British heavy tank from the Vickers company of the second half of the 1920s. It is one of the most characteristic multi-turret machines of its day: the main turret with a gun was complemented by smaller machine gun turrets placed around it, which was meant to allow fire in several directions at once. The vehicle remained at the single example built and never reached series production, but its layout influenced design thinking about multi-turret tanks in other countries as well. For a collector it is an unusual subject that you meet only rarely among models on general offer.
Build through the steps of the instructions and push the joints fully home; a part that is not pushed home shows up only later, when the following assembly will not seat onto it. On a multi-turret machine, watch the placing and orientation of the individual turrets; check that they all rotate freely and do not collide with each other. Place printed parts according to the orientation of the print. The finished model holds firmly, will take being carried and will stand in a cabinet without support.
The kit is supplied unassembled. Once assembled, the model is finished and ready to be displayed.
