The 1:1000 K-Bg-S 12a U rybnicku is a scale model of another work of the Hurka artillery fortress in the Czechoslovak border fortifications.
Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's scale model of a particular work of the Czechoslovak heavy fortifications, worked up from the original drawings by a Czech manufacturer focused on models of fortifications. The 1:1000 scale captures the mass of the work and suits a display cabinet as well as a layout of the fortified line of the Hurka fortress.
The K-Bg-S 12a U rybnicku belonged to the group of the Hurka artillery fortress (Berghöhe) in the Mladkov-Kraliky fortification sector. The fortress was one of the artillery fortresses built between 1935 and 1938 as part of a dense line of Czechoslovak border fortifications; the individual works were linked by extensive underground galleries. The work completed the fighting group of the fortress in a particular stretch of terrain near a body of water, as its code name suggests.
The concrete surface is brought out by gray shades, a fine wash into the joints and drybrushing on the edges. The model shows to advantage on a terrain base with low vegetation and a hint of water, recalling its real placement.
This is a scale model of a particular work; the condition on delivery and the surface finish can differ from piece to piece.
