The Boeing 737-200 is the version of the first airliner of the 737 series that became the most widespread form of this machine in its day and flew with dozens of carriers all over the world. On approach to landing it has the landing flaps on the trailing edge of the wing extended, which is a position in which the machine looks quite different from the clean flight configuration.
Replacement parts for showing the landing flaps in the extended position on a model in 1:144 scale. Kits usually have the trailing edge of the wing molded in one piece, so the flaps on it are only suggested by engraving. The set replaces that section with separate parts and the model thereby takes on the look of an aircraft on approach, or of a machine parked with the flaps in an intermediate position.
The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic does not hold on them; use cyanoacrylate glue. Cut off surplus material with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the shape of the edge is not damaged. Fitting them usually calls for work on the kit wing, so try the mating surfaces dry first and remove the material in small steps. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, because otherwise the paint holds badly on the surface. Paint the inner surfaces of the flaps and the area around them before gluing, because once they are fitted you will not reach them.
The set is for modelers of airliners who want their machine in landing configuration and are not satisfied with a clean wing.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
