A resin accessory set from LACI in 1:144 scale for a model of the Boeing 737-100, that is the shortest and oldest version of the whole series, powered by Pratt & Whitney JT8D-7 engines. The parts replace the sections supplied in the plastic kit and make it possible to build the aircraft with the high-lift devices opened out, as it looks on approach to landing. A model of the airplane is not part of the package.
The Boeing 737-100 was the first member of the series and is told from the later versions mainly by its short fuselage. It was powered by low-bypass JT8D turbofan engines housed in long slender nacelles tight against the wing - a characteristic mark of the oldest 737s that largely disappeared with the arrival of CFM56 engines on the Classic versions. The wing of the first versions had its own arrangement of high-lift devices, so a set for this type is not interchangeable with sets for the later series.
Wash the parts in warm water with detergent, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface and primer holds. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a disc, never break them, and sand the surface damp with breathing protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The dry trial is necessary - the trailing edge of the wing usually has to be thinned, because otherwise the extended parts will follow on at the wrong angle. After primer it is painted with ordinary modeling paints.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
