Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for a model of the twin-engine B-25J Mitchell bomber from the Art Scale brand. It is not a kit but an accessory: the decals are applied onto a finished painted model and transfer the markings of particular machines onto it. This first part of the line is aimed at the aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force.
The North American B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engine medium bomber with a high-wing layout, twin vertical tails and nose gear. It was powered by Wright R-2600 radial engines. The B-25J version was the most numerous production form of the type. Mitchells flew during the Second World War with a number of Allied air forces, among others in the colors of the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific area.
The base has to be smooth and glossy - matte varnish under a decal causes silvering around the motif. Cut the motif out close, soak it in lukewarm water and let it rest briefly, until the film can be slid. Transfer it into place with a small brush, draw the surplus water off and press the remains of the air bubbles out with a cotton swab. On a broken-up surface use a softener - a weaker one first for seating, a stronger one where the decal is to be shaped over rivets and lines. Once it has dried, varnish the model over, so that the edges of the sheet disappear.
This is a decal sheet, not a model. A kit, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
