An aftermarket detail set from Top Studio, not a kit in its own right. It combines turned metal parts, resin fittings and photo-etched metal plates for convincing work on the front fork of a model of the Honda NSR500 racing motorcycle in its 1989 form, in 1:12 scale.
The Honda NSR500 was a works 500 cc road racing motorcycle and one of the most successful machines of the road racing world championships at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. On a motorcycle model the front fork and the brake system are among the most visible parts.
The set replaces the simplified factory front fork with more accurate parts, including the fork tubes, the mountings and the related details. The result is a truer and sturdier rendition of the front end of the machine.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks; glue the metal and photo-etched parts with super glue. The turned parts can be left bright or repainted; protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a detail set, not a kit in its own right; the matching base model is needed to use it. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
