A set of resin end fittings and hose joints from the Japanese manufacturer Top Studio in 1:12 scale, cut for the 2.5 mm size. It is not a kit of a motorcycle, but an accessory to one. Within the range of sizes that Top Studio makes it is among the coarser ones, so it comes into its own on the thickest routing on a model.
What the set is for
The detail of fluid routing is among the things that bring a model of a motorcycle closest to the real subject. While the hose itself is easily made by a modeler from tubing or the insulation of a wire, a faithful termination looks poor without a cast part. The set fills this gap and offers ready-made fittings in the right proportion to the scale. The figure of 2.5 mm says how thick a run the set is cut for, so you can easily choose the right size according to your own material.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a fine saw, trim and level with a file. Do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. The joint is made with super glue, as a cement for plastic will not etch resin. Apply the paint over a base coat; metal end fittings look good in steel and brass shades, or with a restrained dark emphasis of the recesses.
