Chain set number 11 in 1:12 scale from Top Studio for a model of the Ducati 1199 Panigale S. A replacement for the final drive on a model, it is not a kit of the motorcycle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory to a model, not the model itself. The eleventh item of Top Studio's numbered range of chain sets is intended for a model of the road-going Ducati 1199 Panigale S in 1:12 scale and replaces the final drive from the kit. On a road-going superbike this assembly is even more exposed than on a racing machine, because the Panigale has nothing on the drive side that would cover the chain.
What the set addresses
A model of the Panigale is built as a display piece with a glossy finish and chrome elements, so a coarsely suggested chain from the box is downright distracting next to such a surface. A replacement set makes it possible to assemble the drive with visible links that follow the teeth of the sprockets, and to set the deflection of the lower run the way it looks on a machine standing on its stand. Next to the chrome and the polished finish it is precisely the contrast of a dark metal chain that gives the model credibility to scale.
Try the whole drive dry before varnishing the swingarm, because once it is varnished the part is far harder to handle and the finish risks being scuffed. Seat the sprockets in line, otherwise the chain will twist to the side. Use super glue very sparingly, so that it does not set inside the links. For painting, a dark base and a fine steel hint on the edges are enough; keep a matte surface on the sides of the links, so that it does not compete with the gloss of the fairing. Keep any patina very restrained, as this is a road machine, not a racing machine after rain.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit of the motorcycle. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
