It combines resin parts, photo-etched metal frets, small turned metal components and lines, to replace or complete the original parts. It is not a motorcycle kit but an accessory for a model you have already bought.
The Yamaha YZF-R1M is the top version of the R1 road superbike. It is marked by an electronically controlled chassis, carbon bodywork and race-tuned running gear. These are exactly the features that the detail set helps to render more convincingly.
First wash any mold release agent off the resin and metal parts, cut off the casting blocks and seat them on cleaned-up spots. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy, not with plastic cement. Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and wear respiratory protection when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base motorcycle model are not included in the package.
