1:24 Citroën DS3 WRC #17 Rd.2&4 WRC 2012

Decals 1:24 Citroen DS3 WRC, race number 17, the 2012 season

This is a decal set in 1:24 scale from the Studio27 brand for the Citroen DS3 WRC competition car in the form with race number 17 from the second and fourth rounds of the World Rally Championship in 2012. It is not a kit - the package contains only the decal sheet, and a model of the car is obtained separately. Check the exact extent of the sheet on the packaging.

How to apply the decals

Rally color schemes tend to be densely covered with sponsor motifs, so the procedure calls for order and patience:

• Let the finish on the body cure fully and polish it to a gloss - under a decal on a matte surface, silvering appears.
• Cut the motifs out close to the artwork and apply them in stages, from the largest areas to the small lettering.
• Soak the sheet in warm water only briefly and let the decal release from the paper by itself.
• Settle it with a decal softener, so the film draws into the recesses of the fenders, around the handles and over the edges of the sills.
• Once dry, overcoat with a clear coat and unify the surface according to how matte you want the finished car to be.

Who the set is for

The set is intended for modelers of rally cars in 1:24 scale who want to build a particular car of a particular season instead of a generic scheme. Given the quantity of small lettering, it is work for a patient and more experienced builder. Before buying, check that the kit you will use with the decals also corresponds in shape.

The package contains decals only. The kit, the paints, the varnishes and the decal softener are not included.
