Aluminum tape 5 mm x 10 m (AMMO)

A self-adhesive aluminum tape 5 mm wide and 10 m long from the firm AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The thin metal foil with an adhesive layer serves for masking straight edges and transitions of color and for imitating metal and chromed detail on plastic models. The tape can be polished and lightly sanded to reach a metallic sheen.

Use

Clean the base, ideally degreasing it with alcohol
Unwind the tape and cut off the length you need
Take the backing paper off and stick the foil onto the spot it is meant for
Press the edges down and polish the surface if need be

Who it is for

Suitable for modelers of aircraft, cars and military subjects alike who need accurate masking of straight lines or realistic metal areas and strips. Makers of dioramas and detail will appreciate it too.
