Backdrop Display Plinth 5x5x5cm Black

Backdrop Display Plinth 5x5x5 cm, Black

A black display plinth 5x5x5 cm completed with a back wall, called a backdrop in English, from Green Stuff World. The model stands on the top surface and the wall behind it forms an unbroken neutral background. It is neither a model nor a kit but a presentation accessory for finished work.

Use

• Displaying a single painted figure or small model in a case, where it would otherwise be lost among the other pieces.
• Photographing a model: a dark background screens out the surroundings of the room and the colors of the model stand out with no distracting areas behind it.
• Presenting work on a competition table or at a swap meet, where every piece has to be set apart visually.
• Raising a model to eye level, so that the painting of the face and the upper surfaces can be seen.
• Unifying the background across a series of shots, so that photographs taken on different days look the same and can be set side by side.
• The basic 5 cm edge suits smaller figures on round bases; for wider bases reach for a larger size from the same range.

Who it is for

For figure painters who want to show finished work on its own, and for anyone who photographs their models and needs a repeatable, clean background without setting up a makeshift photo corner. The range offers several sizes, so the look of a whole display case can be matched. This piece is the smallest of them and suits a single figure rather than a tableau with several characters. In a display case it therefore takes up little space and more of them can be lined up side by side without the individual models mingling visually.

The plinth is supplied on its own. The model, lighting and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
