A modeling material for building dioramas and bases for models in the format 20x30x3. Terrain is created on it by shaping the surface directly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A board in the format 20x30x3 is intended for diorama bases and for bases under models. Terrain is modeled in it directly: you remove material where a hollow is to be and leave standing what is to project. This gives you a gentle slope, worn ruts, the bank of a ford or a heap of rubble, without having to build the scene up from several layers and wait for each of them to cure. The finished base stays light, which you will appreciate above all on larger scenes that get handled.
First lay the scene out according to the model that will stand on it, and only then start removing material. Work the shape roughly first, refine the transitions and finally seal the surface with a layer that unifies it and prepares it for paint. Suitable tools and the recommended procedure are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; not every glue and not every solvent gets on with shapeable materials. So a test on an offcut pays off: apply a drop of glue and a little paint, let it dry and only then work on the base itself.
For modelers who want to place a model into a setting, and for building display scenes. Its use is not tied to one scale, and the same board will serve under a figure as well as under a vehicle. Depending on the scale, you only have to lay out how much area the scene needs, so that the model does not look cramped and yet no empty space is left around it.
The model, figures, paints, glue and scatter materials are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
