A scenic material from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez range for rendering the low parched vegetation of desert and semi-desert plains. Intended for bases, vignettes and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
Desert Plains is a scenic material from the group of grass foliages. It is aimed at the growth of dry plains, that is the low, sparse and parched vegetation that grows in desert and semi-desert country, on the steppe or on unpaved ground beside roads. It suits anywhere that the surroundings of a model are meant to look drier and poorer than a Central European meadow.
The most convincing growth is one that does not cover the surface continuously. First tint the base to the shade of the local soil and only then apply the vegetation in irregular islands, leaving bare patches. The material is fixed with thinned PVA glue, and a drop of dish soap helps it soak up into the growth. Once dry, vacuum up the loose remains or sweep them away with a soft brush. At the end the color of the whole can be unified with a light toning coat, so that the vegetation matches the surrounding soil and the shade of the model.
The material will be appreciated by modelers who build bases for vehicles, for figures or for aircraft and want the surroundings of the model to match the climate in which the real subject moved. The exact form of the material, the volume of the package and the recommended way of applying it are given in the manufacturer's description and instructions.
Glue, paints and the base itself are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
