About product

MiG-29 9-13 - mask 1:72 (Eduard)

This is a self-adhesive masking set from Eduard for a model of the MiG-29 fighter in the 9-13 version in 1:72 scale. The masks are die-cut from yellow kabuki film and serve to mask the cockpit glazing and the wheel discs while paint is being sprayed. It is not a model and not a decal.

The real subject

The MiG-29 is a Soviet, later Russian twin-engine frontal fighter. The version designated by the production code 9-13 was marked by a slightly enlarged fuselage spine with a greater fuel load and further avionics. The machine became one of the icons of the Cold War and still serves with a number of air forces today.

Use

  • Transfer the frame masks onto the glazing and stick the disc masks onto the wheels.
  • Spray the color of the framing first, then the final camouflage.
  • Lift the masks off once the paint has gone tacky, for a crisp edge.
  • Intended for models of the MiG-29 fighter.

Who it is for

  • Modelers who want crisp glazing and discs without hand painting.
  • Builders working at a small scale.
  • More advanced builders and careful beginners with an airbrush.

A mask is an aid for painting; it holds no paints and no model.
