This is not an aircraft model but a resin accessory. The set replaces the out-of-the-box plastic exhaust stacks with more faithful castings with open mouths and fine relief. It is intended for models of the Bell P-39Q and P-39N Airacobra in 1:72 scale.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusual arrangement of the engine behind the pilot and with tricycle landing gear. The P-39N and P-39Q versions were among the most widespread and served in large numbers with the Soviet Air Force, where they earned a good reputation at low altitudes. On propeller fighters the exhausts are among the striking details that gain in realism once swapped for hollow resin.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash off the mold release residue and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit dry before fitting them. The exhausts are brought out well by dark metallic shades, heat tints and a light dusting with pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
