Behind enemy lines, Soviet Razvedchiki w/W-SS Tanker POW, 1944-45 is a set of figures in 1:35 scale with the subject of Soviet scouts and a captured German tank crewman.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures in 1:35 scale from a range devoted to the work of Soviet reconnaissance patrols in the closing stage of the Second World War. The subject is the return of a patrol with a captured member of a German tank crew. It is not a kit of equipment, nor finished painted figures, but a set to assemble and paint. Scale 1:35 matches the most widespread size of military vehicle models, so the scene can be joined without trouble to equipment and to diorama accessories.
Reconnaissance patrols, called razvedchiki in Russian, had the task of finding the enemy's positions and bringing prisoners back for interrogation. It is exactly such a moment that the set captures, that is a group on the move with a disarmed prisoner among them. For a diorama it is a rewarding subject, because the figures relate to one another and the scene holds together even without a vehicle.
Before building, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry thoroughly. Cut off the mold seams and any sprue gate remains with a sharp knife and polish them with fine sandpaper; on figures they are most visible on the arms and across the back. Try the assembly dry first and check how the figures hold their relation to one another. Apply a base coat before painting. Build the uniforms by layering, from the base shade through a darker wash into the folds to a fine lightening of the edges, and leave the faces for last. Unify the finished figures with a matte varnish.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
