In 1:24 scale the riveting on a surface is clearly visible and punching it out by hand with a riveting wheel takes hours. This sheet carries finished rows of rivets, which are transferred onto the model like a decal. The rows are double, so with one strip you lay down two adjacent lines side by side at once and do not have to align them laboriously against each other.
According to the name these are double rows of rivets in black. The rivet size is 0.25 mm, the gap is 1.0 mm and the total length of the rows on the sheet comes to 5.8 meters, which the name also gives converted as 19 feet. The rivets stand out from the surface and form relief, not merely a drawing. The sheet belongs to the Quinta range under the designation QRV.
This is a genuine wet decal. Cut off a strip a little longer than the riveted line, immerse it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it stand until the film releases from the backing paper. Varnish the area of the model with a gloss varnish beforehand, so that matte edges do not form under the decal. Slide the strip into place, align it along the line and blot the excess water away with a paper tissue. A decal softener helps the film draw itself onto the shape of the part; apply it with a soft brush and do not move the decal again until it is dry. Finally, go over the area with a varnish according to what surface the model is to have.
