The package contains six spare rollers measuring 45x15 mm. On a modeling bench a roller is a consumable thing: the paint gradually dries inside it, the edges get crushed and the coat stops being even. Instead of laboriously washing one piece out, it is therefore enough to fit a clean roller and carry on working. Of the two sizes, 45x15 mm is the larger, so it covers a wider band of surface in one pass.

Use

• an even coat of paint on large flat areas of a model, where a brush would leave strokes
• work on groundwork for dioramas and on bases, where a continuous area is painted
• a quick change to a different shade without waiting for one roller to dry out after washing
• replacing a piece that has gone hard with dried paint or is falling apart at the edge
• a supply in the drawer, so that work in progress does not depend on a single roller

How to work with the roller

Pick the paint up in a thin layer and first run it out on a test area, so that the roller does not spit. It is applied in several thin layers, not in one thick one, otherwise texture stays on the surface. When the work is finished, rinse the roller straight away in the agent that belongs to the paint you used and let it dry freely; paint dried inside is the main reason rollers get changed.

For modelers and diorama builders who already have the matching hand roller and need a consumable refill for it. It will be appreciated above all by those who work with several shades at once and do not want to wash the tool out for every change.

These are spare rollers, not a finished tool. The roller handle, paints and thinner are not included in the package.
