Stainless steel is a practical choice for modeling tweezers: it does not corrode from damp hands or from traces of thinner and it can be wiped with a cloth and cleaner. The 12 cm length is a medium size that works well in the hand and over a model under construction without blocking the view. The case protects the tips during storage and transport, which is essential for a precision tool, because a tip once bent or knocked will no longer grip a small part.
For anyone who builds plastic models, completes them with photo-etched sets or paints figures. Tweezers belong on the bench alongside a sharp knife and a file; as soon as a build reaches parts a few millimeters in size, you cannot work without them.
The tips are delicate. Do not use the tweezers as a lever or to hold a part while sanding, so that the tips stay aligned. Put them back in the case after work.
