A model of the modern attack helicopter Bell AH-1Z Viper in the colors of the Czech Air Force, 1:35 scale, from Hobby 2000. It is a release on Academy plastic supplemented with photo-etched parts and Cartograf decals for two Czech machines (serial numbers 0486 and 0487). A kit to be glued and painted.
The Czech AH-1Zs are a real recent acquisition: under a contract of 2019 the Czech Republic procured 4 AH-1Z Viper and 8 UH-1Y Venom helicopters, and the first Vipers arrived in the country at the end of July 2023. The AH-1Z Zulu is the newest helicopter of the Cobra line (with a four-blade rotor), armed with a 20 mm cannon, Hydra rockets, AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missiles and AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
The model is best built in subassemblies, testing the fit of the parts dry before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and, if you wish, pick them out with a wash before closing the fuselage. For the best result use a quality liquid plastic cement, fine files and, after the primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
