A set of four Trent 900 engine units for a model of the Airbus A380-800 airliner in 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Airbus A380-800 is a double-deck wide-body airliner and the largest series-produced civil machine in the world. The Rolls-Royce Trent 900 is one of the two powerplants it was delivered with. It is a high-bypass turbofan engine developed for exactly this type of aircraft; the four engines hang on pylons under the wings.
The set brings four engine units for a model in 1:144 scale. On a model of a large aircraft the engines are the most striking element of the view from the front and from below, so it pays to give attention on them to the shape of the intake and to the depth of the nacelle.
Before gluing, compare the attachment of the nacelles with the pylons on your kit and line all four engines up at the same height and the same angle; asymmetry is immediately visible over a large span. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Darken the inside of the intake and set the fan blades apart with a metallic shade, so that the nacelle does not read as a blind tube.
This is an accessory to a model of an aircraft. Paints, glue and decals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
