A set of flaps for the Boeing KC-135R in 1:144 prepared for the Roden kit. It lets you build the tanker with the wing in the landing position.
Responsibility details are not available.
Replacement parts for the wing of the Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker at a reduction of 1:144. The set is cut for the Roden kit; an almost identical item exists for a kit from another maker as well, so when choosing, check which box you have at home. The kit itself is not part of the delivery.
Re-engining the Stratotanker with a modern powerplant was one of the most successful updates the US Air Force ever carried out. The new engines cut consumption, raised the amount of fuel that could be passed on, and thanks to them the machines stayed in active service far beyond the originally planned life. The type also serves as a transport and evacuation aircraft, so it carries both the extending refueling boom and a roomy deck.
Run the cut exactly along the engraved line of the trailing edge and work in two passes rather than one deep stroke. Level the mating surfaces with a file and check the fit dry. Use a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue for the joint, fill the seam with putty and sand it back once it has cured. Watch that both wings have the flaps extended the same amount, and before you start spraying, polish the surrounding area so that the transition does not show.
Paints, putty and decals are not part of the item.
