A stand-alone sheet of waterslide decals for 1:144 scale, not a kit and not parts. It adds Danish national aviation markings to a finished model. The package holds two identical sets, which means either two models, or one model and the certainty that you have a replacement.

The markings

Danish aviation markings are based on the national colors and are used in a concentric circular form. The fact that the insignia is simple in color does not mean that applying it is simple: the fewer the colors, the more every imprecision in the position and the rotation of the insignia against the longitudinal axis of the aircraft stands out. So check the position against the panel lines and the rivet lines, not just by eye.

Soaking and transfer, where it is decided

Most spoiled decals are spoiled in the very first step. Use lukewarm water, not hot, ideally distilled or at least boiled, because limescale leaves a white deposit once dry. Put the decal in the water for only a short while, just until the adhesive softens and the insignia starts to slide on the paper. If you leave it in the water too long, the adhesive is washed out and the decal then does not hold on the model. Then take it out together with the paper, bring it up to the place and slide the insignia off the paper with a soft damp brush. Do not carry it loose in water, as a floating film rolls up and can only be unrolled with difficulty. Once the insignia is in place, fine-tune the position with a brush and draw the excess water off from the center outward, so that no drop is held under the film.
