The injection-molded plastic kit captures the McDonnell Douglas DC-9 short- to medium-haul airliner in the colors of Swissair. The package contains plastic parts and decals for that color scheme. The 1:144 scale is popular among collectors of civil aircraft thanks to the reasonable size of the finished model.
The McDonnell Douglas DC-9 was a successful twin-engine jet airliner for shorter routes. Characteristic are the engines mounted at the rear on the sides of the fuselage and the T-tail. The DC-9 became the backbone of regional traffic for a number of airlines worldwide, and Swissair was among its well-known operators.
Glue the fuselage carefully, fill the joints and sand them smooth so that the glossy surface of an airliner stands out. Apply a primer and the glossy base shade with an airbrush; apply the decals with the airline colors over a gloss base and seal them with clear coat. Glue the clear parts of the cockpit and the windows with a cement suitable for clear parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
