An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Dassault Rafale B multirole fighter in 1:144 scale from Trumpeter. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The letter B denotes the two-seat version with two seats one behind the other. Even in the small 1:144 scale the kit captures the characteristic aerodynamics with canards and a delta wing; take the exact contents of the package and the stores on offer from the enclosed instructions.
The Rafale is a modern French twin-engine multirole fighter with a canard aerodynamic layout, that is with foreplanes set ahead of a delta wing, which give it high agility. The two-seat Rafale B version serves for training and for combat duties while keeping its full combat capability. The aircraft covers tasks from air combat through attacks on ground targets to reconnaissance and carries a wide range of external stores.
In 1:144 scale the parts are small, so work with a sharp cutter and deburr them carefully. Mask and polish the canopy glazing before spraying. Spray the base coat over a primer with thinned paints and pick out the panel lines discreetly with a thin wash. Paint the stores and the armament separately and fit them at the end; apply the decals over a gloss surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
