A fire extinguisher in the British version, an accessory for dioramas in 1:72 scale by Firma49. It suits airfield and ground scenes alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
A fire extinguisher belongs among the small things that make a scene believable. It stands by the hangar doors, at the workbench, in the cab of a truck or in a wall bracket, and it tells the viewer at once that this is a working environment where fuel is handled. The abbreviation GB in the name refers to the British version, so the accessory fits scenes with British vehicles and crews.
This is a stand-alone accessory for dioramas in 1:72 scale, a tiny part only a few millimeters tall. It is supplied unpainted and ready for further work, so you can place it exactly where it suits your scene.
Wash and degrease the part before painting so that the paint holds, and apply a thin coat of primer. Cut off any excess material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest away carefully. Choose the color according to the subject you are building and apply it in a really thin coat, otherwise the shape would be lost in this scale. Metal areas can be brought out with a dry brush and the whole calmed down with a dark glaze, so that the accessory does not look freshly unpacked. For gluing small parts a tiny amount of cyanoacrylate glue applied with the tip of a toothpick works well.
The accessory will be appreciated by builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:72 scale who want their scene equipped down to the detail. Paints, glue, a base and other scenic materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
