A detail set for a faithful treatment of the engines of a model of the heavy transport aircraft Il-76 in 1:144 scale. It combines resin parts with photo-etched brass and lets you replace the simplified plastic engine nacelles with detailed units with faithful intakes and exhausts. It is an accessory for Il-76 models, not an aircraft kit.
The Il-76 is a Soviet four-engine jet heavy transport aircraft with a high-mounted wing and a rear loading ramp. It serves for carrying heavy loads and equipment, and in some variants as a tanker or a firefighting aircraft, and it is in use all over the world. Its four engines are a striking element of the silhouette.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent and cut the casting blocks off; separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them over a ruler or in a bending tool. Glue everything with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding resin and apply a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The basic model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
