Indian aviation markings have a concentric circular form in the national colors. The Indian Air Force has long operated an exceptionally varied range of hardware of western, eastern and domestic origin, so this sheet will find a use across a great many different models, from transport and airliner types to combat aircraft. That is precisely why it pays to have the markings available in reserve, and why two sets in the package are not superfluous.
With colored roundels the most common mistake is in the timing of the varnishes. The recommended order is: a finished and cured base coat, then a gloss varnish in a thin layer, which is left to harden properly, then the decals, then a softener and finally, once everything is absolutely dry, a closing matte or semi-gloss overcoat according to the character of the machine being modeled. That last step is not cosmetic: it evens out the sheen between the paint and the film of the decal, hides its edge and at the same time protects the markings mechanically during further work, for instance while weathering. Never hurry with an overcoat on a decal that has not dried, on the other hand. Moisture stays under the film and shows up as a milky haze, and that can no longer be removed.
