An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from the Czech manufacturer Brengun. In the box you will find plastic sprues with gray parts and a clear canopy. Optional parts make it possible to build either the V1 or the V2 prototype, which differed in its shortened wingtips and modified tail surfaces. The decals cover both test machines.
The Me 309 was a German experimental fighter of the early 1940s, intended as the successor to the proven Bf 109. It brought a number of novelties, among them nose landing gear, a pressurized cabin and a powerful V engine. In testing, however, it did not prove itself well enough to replace the older type, and construction stopped at a few prototypes. Today the aircraft is one of the interesting dead ends of Luftwaffe development.
A small scale rewards care. Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and glue them with a thin glue for plastic, drop by drop. We recommend a primer before painting, which unifies the surface and reveals any gaps. Fit the canopy only after the interior has been painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
