A resin set of wheels for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 version K in 1:144 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory intended for swapping the wheels during the build. The last production version of the Bf 109 has its own form of landing gear wheels, which is why the sets are divided by version and it is right to reach for the correct one. According to the name there are two sets in the package.
The casting replaces the split plastic part, so no sanding-marked mold parting line is left on the tire and the hub keeps crisp edges even under a coat of paint. In 1:144 scale the wheels are among the few details that are legible from a normal viewing distance, and replacing them therefore moves a model on further than so small a component would suggest. A bonus is a more accurate stance for the model on its base.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, which rids them of the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a knife or a fine saw and level the flat with a file, protecting your breathing when sanding resin. Choose cyanoacrylate glue, since cement for plastic will not bond resin. Prime them, spray the tire in dark gray and separate the hub with a brush or with masking fluid.
It is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
