A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:144 scale with the national markings of the Swedish Air Force in the variant without an outline. According to the name it holds seven sizes matching the real diameters of 500, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100 and 1500 mm, that is roughly 3.5 to 10.4 mm on the model, and that in two sets. It is not a kit: the sheet is applied to a finished model.
The Swedish marking consists of three crowns in yellow on a blue circular field. The version without an outline has the edge of the insignia given directly by the transition from the blue to the surface, which looks clean on lighter areas but on a dark and broken-up surface calls for somewhat more careful work, as the boundary of the decal is not emphasized and an edge that does not seat properly is harder to hide. The seven sizes cover the small fuselage insignia as well as the large wing ones; the largest decal on the sheet is over a centimeter on the model, so it is among the most demanding in area in the whole range.
The combination of yellow on blue is demanding to print and it is worth checking it against the light to see whether the yellow covers sufficiently. If the model carries dark camouflage, you can spray a light patch in the outline of the circle under the large decals, so that the colors stay saturated. The procedure itself is the usual one: a smooth glossy surface, a close trim at the printing, a brief soak in warm water, sliding on over a layer of water and aligning the position. Press the excess water out with a cotton bud from the center. On broken-up places a softener helps, but dose it sparingly on large areas, as a heavily softened film creases easily at a careless touch and cannot be straightened again. Once dry, even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints and modeling chemicals are not included in the package.
