An injection-molded plastic kit of the German anti-tank gun 7.5 cm PaK 40 in the large 1:16 scale from Das Werk. It is a new mold in a 2 in 1 release that allows the mid as well as the late production variant to be built. In the box you will find two forms of the muzzle brake, several variants of the wheel rims, crates and cartridge cases with ammunition and several marking options. The large 1:16 scale offers room for rich detail. Check the exact contents against the instructions.
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was the standard German anti-tank gun of the second half of the war. It entered service from 1942 and, thanks to its powerful ammunition, could destroy the vast majority of Allied tanks. It was deployed on every front; its main drawback was its considerable weight, which made manhandling and moving it across country difficult. It was among the most effective and most widespread guns of its kind.
This is a gun, not a vehicle – pay attention to the carriage, the wheels, the split trails and the breech, all of which can be shown well on the model. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. The large scale rewards an airbrush and a primer. Guns usually wore dark yellow, sometimes with green and brown stripes. Bring out the metal of the barrel and the breech with graphite or metal pigments, and add dust and mud pigments to the carriage and the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
