A portrait figure of a particular historical person for modelers who build German hardware of the Second World War in a large scale. The item is a limited edition. 1:16 is one of the large scales: a standing adult figure comes out at around eleven centimeters in it, so on the face and on the gear every single detail shows.
Michael Wittmann was a German tank commander in the Second World War whose name is tied to the use of the heavy Tiger tanks. He served with Waffen-SS units and was killed in 1944 in Normandy. As a subject for a figure he is interesting above all because he is a real person whose likeness can be compared with period photographs, which is the hardest part of the work on a portrait figure.
Wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let it dry thoroughly. Cut the excess material and the marks left by production off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down with fine paper. In a large scale the face decides: build the skin color up in thin glazes from the darkest tone to the lightest and leave the eyes until the very end. Shade the uniform so that the folds of the cloth do not disappear under an opaque coat. The exact preparation and the recommended glue are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue, a tank model and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
