The figure captures a member of the SNB, the National Security Corps, in the vz. 60 uniform at a roadside check, at the moment when he takes over a driver's license. It is a civilian police subject from the setting of the former Czechoslovakia, one that appears in the modeling offer only rarely. That is precisely why it tends to be sought after for scenes with period cars, motorcycles and traffic signs.
One figure in 1:16 scale. A standing adult figure has a height of around eleven centimeters in this scale, so in size it matches large models of vehicles and motorcycles of the same scale. The figure is conceived as a genre scene, so the gesture with the license in the hand itself suggests where to place it in a scene and from where to light it. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Cut off the excess material and the traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully. Build the uniform up from the basic tone and only then work with the shadows in the seams and the folds; the face and the hands prove best finished with thin washes. The small things in the hands will stand out if you leave them noticeably lighter than their surroundings.
