This is a resin set of main wheels in 1:32 scale from the brand Miryoku, intended for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the E, F and G-2 versions. The name describes the set as the late guise with a stamped disc and a tire 660 x 160 in size. It is neither a kit nor a complete landing gear but a replacement detail with which you replace the wheels from the box.
A wheel is one of the very few parts of a model that a viewer has directly at eye level, and yet in an ordinary kit it tends to be simplified. The mold parting line runs across the tread, the pattern of the disc is soft and the hub tends to be merely suggested. A casting solves both at once, because it is cast in one piece and the detail is not lost. On the Bf 109, moreover, the wheel went through development and its form differs between versions, so the right disc type and tire size show at first glance.
First wash the parts in warm soapy water, so that they are rid of the mold release residue; the paint will not hold on them otherwise. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a fine knife and level the surface with abrasive paper, ideally wet and with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic will not join resin. We recommend a base coat before painting. The disc and the tire are most conveniently sprayed separately, with the boundary finished off with a mask or a brush.
The set is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
