1:18 Wandering singer is a figure of a street singer in 1:18 scale from the figure range of the Hobby Design brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure captures a street musician - a civilian character of the kind that belongs in an urban corner around a parked car. The 1:18 scale is one of the largest in which car models are commonly collected, so the character has real weight on a shelf and is not lost beside a body.
A wandering singer gives a static display case a storyline: the viewer senses at once that this is a street, an ordinary day and passers-by stopping. He comes into play in urban scenes with a facade or a curb, in photographic corners and as an object in his own right on a base. Because the character is not tied to a racing team, an era or a make of car, he combines with practically anything you have in 1:18 scale.
The 1:18 scale uncovers every unevenness of the surface, so it pays to sand the parting seams down carefully and to even the whole out with a thin coat of primer. Build the skin up from the lightest tone toward the shadows, ideally in several glazes, and finish the face off right at the end. The clothing gains depth from dark lighting of the folds and fine drybrushing on the edges of the fabric. A matte varnish at the end evens the sheen of the whole character out and hides the transitions between the coats.
