A plastic kit of two Hydranger submarines in 1:200 scale. The set holds two models, designated HR-1 and HR-2.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subjects are two fictional submarines which the name carries under the name Hydranger and under the designations HR-1 and HR-2. According to the name they belong to an organization designated the Earth Defence Force, that is, to a fictional defense corps. No real vessel of that name exists, so in building and painting you do not have to keep to any historical subject and you have a free hand.
The package holds two models in 1:200 scale. It is a plastic kit, so you assemble and paint the model yourself. The exact number of parts, the extent of the decals and the procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package. In 1:200 scale even a larger vessel comes out small, so the finished pair takes up only a little room on a shelf.
The hull of a submarine is smooth and continuous, so every unworked joint stands out on it. Glue the halves of the hull dry as a test, only then for good, and sand the joint with fine abrasive paper. Wash and degrease the whole model before painting so that the finish holds even on a smooth surface. Because there are two models, it pays to build them side by side and do the same steps on both at once.
The set will please anyone interested in fictional machinery and in models that make small demands on space. Two finished models beside each other also show well on a shared base or in a simple scene with a water surface.
A base, paints, glue and a display case are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
