A collector's plastic model of the Junkers Ju 52/3m in 1:200 scale from Zvezda — the three-engine transport aircraft nicknamed Tante Ju (Auntie Ju).
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic model of the three-engine transport aircraft Junkers Ju 52/3m in the small collector's scale of 1:200 from the Russian manufacturer Zvezda. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts, a clear part for the cockpit glazing, decals and a simple stand. Thanks to the snap-fit design the model can be assembled even without glue, though a careful build with glue will make the result stronger still.
The Ju 52/3m appeared at the start of the 1930s as a reliable transport aircraft with its characteristic corrugated duralumin skin and three radial engines. It served with a number of prewar airlines and during the Second World War became the main transport and paratroop machine of the Luftwaffe. For its robustness and versatility it earned the nickname Tante Ju (Auntie Ju).
In this scale clean joints and fine painting come out best. Use a thin liquid cement for plastic, apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush in thin coats. Sand the corrugated skin surface only carefully, so that the engraved detail does not disappear. A small model looks good placed on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
