A resin set of replacement wheels for a model of the General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter in the later production blocks 40 to 52. This is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory — it replaces the wheels from the plastic box with more accurate castings carrying a sharper rendering of the tread, hubs, valves and brakes. The tire and the hub are usually designed so that they can be masked and painted separately with ease. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want to take the landing gear beyond the level of the parts from the box.
The F-16C is a single-seat multi-role fighter; blocks 40 to 52 belong among the later and more capable Fighting Falcon versions, with more modern avionics and a night and precision strike capability. These aircraft form the backbone of many air forces and are flown both in air combat and against ground targets.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent left from the mold, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Resin is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires dark gray rather than deep black and dust them lightly; choose the hubs according to the particular aircraft. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
