Armory 1:144 Yak-1b Donated Airplanes is a plastic kit of a Soviet fighter of the Second World War in a small scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Yak-1b fighter in the small 1:144 scale from Armory. The package also holds photo-etched parts and a rich decal sheet. The Donated Airplanes edition focuses on machines paid for out of public collections and donations, which carried personal inscriptions and dedications.
The Yakovlev Yak-1 was one of the first modern Soviet fighters of the Second World War - a light, agile and structurally simple machine of mixed construction with wooden wings. The Yak-1b version brought a cut-down rear fuselage with a better view aft, revised armament and further improvements. A number of machines were financed from collections and carried dedication inscriptions from their donors.
The small scale calls for careful work and a sharp knife; glue the small and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting and lay the camouflage on with an airbrush at fine coverage. Given the size of the model, keep the weathering restrained and apply the thin decals over a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
