This is a double-sided set of precisely shaped self-adhesive painting masks from the maker Art Scale, intended for the large model of the de Havilland Mosquito B Mk.IV bomber in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from fine masking paper and have the part numbers printed on them for easy placing. The double-sided version masks the glazing from the outer as well as the inner side, which is a great advantage with the large glazed nose section.

The real subject

The de Havilland Mosquito was a British multirole aircraft with a largely wooden structure. The B Mk.IV version was the unarmed fast bomber variant, which relied on high speed instead of defensive armament.

Use

• You stick the masks onto the glazing parts according to the printed numbers and the diagram.
• You mask the inner side first for the interior color, then the outer side for the airframe color.
• Once the paint has dried you remove the masks carefully and get sharp frames on both sides.
