Tornado GR.4 1:32 (Art Scale)

This is a double-sided set of precisely shaped self-adhesive painting masks from the manufacturer Art Scale, intended for a large model of the Panavia Tornado GR.4 ground-attack aircraft from the Italeri kit in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from fine masking paper, and in the express fit version they have printed part numbers for easy placement. The double-sided version masks the glazing from the outer as well as the inner side.

The real subject

The Panavia Tornado is a European combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in cooperation between several states. The GR.4 version was the upgraded British strike variant intended for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance.

Use

• You stick the masks onto the glazing parts according to the printed numbers and the diagram.
• First you mask the inner side for the interior color, then the outer one for the airframe color.
• Once the paint has dried you carefully remove the masks and get sharp frames on both sides.
