A masking set for the glazing of a model of the Kamov Ka-29 helicopter in 1:35 scale, in a single-sided version for the Trumpeter kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ka-29 is a Soviet shipborne helicopter intended for landing an assault party and supporting it, developed from the line of anti-submarine machines of the Kamov design bureau. In the code designation of the North Atlantic Alliance it carries the name Helix-B. It is recognizable by a pair of coaxial counter-rotating rotors, thanks to which the machine needs no tail rotor at the tail, and by the widened forward section with flat windows, behind which the crew sit side by side. On the sides of the fuselage are stub wings with racks.
The flat windows of the forward section and the side windows are edged with a dense network of frames. Cutting them out on the model by hand means a risk: the blade digs into the plastic and the frames do not come out the same width. The set offers masks cut out in advance in a single-sided version, that is, for the outer side of the glazing, cut to the shapes of the Trumpeter kit. On a model from another manufacturer the shapes need not fit.
What is supplied is a masking set. The kit of the helicopter, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
